Remove Cat Odor
Cat Odor removal
If you have cats, you know that one of the hardest things you can do is remove cat odor. I don’t know what it is, but there is something in their urine that refuses to give up the ghost. Though I do not have any problems with my cats, I know that my mother has one cat was always gives her problems. Though the condition this cat has is not life-threatening, it often means that her cat has an accident. She loves the cat too much to put to sleep, and as long as the cat is not in any pain and is still living a healthy life, she refuses to get rid of it. I can understand this, as I love my cats very much as well.
Quite honestly, I have found that there are not a lot of great ways to remove cat odor. It has a surprisingly stubborn quality to it. I had a chair once in which my cat had an accident. I tried everything I could think of to remove cat odor but nothing seemed to work. I took the cushion from the chair, and I then soaked it in the bathtub overnight. I used every detergent I could think of, as well as some that were said to remove cat odor. None of these worked. In the end I had to throw the chair away because otherwise I would have had to live with that horrible smell.
If your cat has an accident anywhere in your home, you need to remove cat odor immediately. The longer the accident is allowed to set, the longer it is going to take you to get rid of it. In many cases once the smell has set into a fabric you will not be able to do anything but destroy It. For some reason you can’t remove cat odor once it has a chance to set longer than an hour or so. This means if you are home from work and find that your cat has had an accident, chances are good you will not be able to get rid of the smell no matter what you do.
If you find that you have a lot of problems with cat odor, you may want to look in the store for something made specifically to get rid of this problem. I can’t guarantee that these work, as I have not had any success with any of these products in the past. However, I know that there are new products on the market now that are made to remove cat odor that I have yet to try. When it comes down to your pet, the last thing you want to do is get rid of them, even though they may cause some problems in your home. It becomes expensive to have to throw away furniture in order to remove cat odor, so it is in your best interest to try everything else first.
